Event Overview

The workshop 'Ölkessel Austausch gegen Luft Wärmepumpe und PV mit Speicher' will take place on July 7, 2025, from 16:30 to 19:00 in Marienfelde, Berlin. This event is designed for professionals interested in the practical aspects of modern heating solutions, particularly the transition from oil heating to air-water heat pumps combined with photovoltaic systems.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit a single-family home built in 1957, where an oil heating system from 1980 has been replaced with a Weishaupt air-water heat pump. The home now utilizes a combination of underfloor heating, hybrid convectors, and traditional radiators. Additionally, a 10 kWp photovoltaic system has been installed, paired with a BYD 10 kWh battery and a hybrid inverter, all managed by an SMA Sunny Home Manager 2.0 energy management system.

The workshop will be moderated by Dipl.-Ing. Axel Piechotka, who will share insights on project development, implementation, and operational experiences. Key topics will include:

  • Energy consulting and concept development

  • Challenges in component selection and installation

  • System optimization and energy management

  • Practical experiences from the winter of 2022/2023

Due to space constraints in the heating cellar, attendance is limited to 15 participants. This event is not subsidized, and a fee ranging from €30 to €80 will be charged, depending on membership status. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance, which is recognized for continuing education credits by various professional organizations【4:1†source】【4:9†source】.
