DoubleVerify and Impact Plus Team Up to Cut Carbon Emissions in Digital Advertising

Cut through the green tape

Whether motivated by compliance, customer demands, or a real passion for the environment, you’re welcome here. We provide reliable information—why you seek it is not our concern.
DoubleVerify (NYSE: DV), a leader in media quality and performance measurement, has announced a strategic partnership with sustainability technology company Impact Plus. The collaboration introduces DV’s Emissions Measurement offering, powered by Impact Plus, enabling brands to measure and manage the carbon footprint of their digital advertising campaigns.
As environmental concerns grow within the advertising industry, this integration offers advertisers increased transparency into the carbon emissions generated across the digital ad supply chain. “Sustainability is a growing priority, and our integration with Impact Plus provides the data advertisers need to make responsible, informed decisions—without compromising performance or reach,” said Steven Woolway, EVP of Business Development at DoubleVerify, in a press statement.
The Emissions Measurement tool allows clients to monitor and benchmark campaign emissions, evaluate media-buying strategies for carbon efficiency, and incorporate emissions data into strategic planning. This gives marketers a comprehensive view of how their campaigns impact the environment and supports more sustainable decision-making.
Later this year, DoubleVerify plans to enhance the offering through its DV Scibids AI™ technology. This will allow advertisers to dynamically shift ad spend toward lower-emission placements while continuing to optimize for business outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
Impact Plus contributes sophisticated tools for assessing greenhouse gas emissions, now integrated into DV’s platform to provide unified insights combining media quality and sustainability metrics.
“Evaluation is the first step in reducing digital advertising’s environmental impact,” said Vincent Villaret, CEO of Impact Plus. “Together with DoubleVerify, we’re enabling brands to embed sustainability into their digital strategies.”
This initiative underscores DoubleVerify’s commitment to delivering high-quality, performance-driven, and environmentally responsible advertising solutions.
