With approximately half of Europe's energy consumption dedicated to heating, enhancing the efficiency of these systems is vital. This session will delve into how digital processes can optimize operations, improve communication across the heat grid, and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources.

The event will feature a series of expert presentations, including:

• Introduction to Digital Heating Networks: An overview of the EDIH EBE project and its significance in the digital transformation of heating networks.

• Advantages of Digitisation: Insights into the benefits of digital tools for existing heating networks, highlighting ongoing research initiatives.

• STORM District Energy Controller: A presentation on a data-driven system that enhances energy flexibility in heating networks, optimizing real-time heat consumption.

• Pathopt: A discussion on a platform designed to automate the design of heating networks, ensuring optimal configurations based on geographical data.

Practical Information

This session is part of the European EDIH-EBE project, which provides SMEs access to expertise and test facilities in energy and digitalization. The event will be conducted in both Dutch and English, and registration is free. Participants are encouraged to complete a digital maturity test prior to attending, which takes about 15 minutes to complete.
