Bursa Malaysia Berhad ("Bursa Malaysia"), the national stock exchange of Malaysia, has announced a strategic collaboration with BoardRoom Group, a leading corporate services provider in the Asia-Pacific region, to drive wider adoption of the Centralised Sustainability Intelligence ("CSI") Solution among Malaysian public listed companies (PLCs).
The CSI Solution, developed by Bursa Malaysia, supports the country's shift towards a low-carbon economy by streamlining sustainability reporting for both listed and non-listed companies. It became the official sustainability reporting channel for the Exchange in March 2025 and is aligned with the International Sustainability Standards Board’s (ISSB) IFRS S1 and S2 disclosure standards under the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF).
Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, CEO of Bursa Malaysia, said in a press release the collaboration reflects the Exchange’s commitment to helping Malaysian companies lower their climate impact. "By making CSI tools available at no cost to PLCs, we aim to support stronger, more transparent sustainability disclosures," he said.
BoardRoom Group CEO Angeline Aw highlighted the long-standing relationship with Bursa Malaysia. "Our combined expertise will help scale adoption of the CSI Solution and enhance corporate governance and regulatory readiness across the sector," she added.
Since its launch in June 2024, approximately 180 PLCs have onboarded the CSI platform. Bursa Malaysia and BoardRoom are encouraging more companies, including mid-tier companies and SMEs, to adopt the solution, which includes tools like an emissions calculator and supplier management module. These features aim to support companies in improving sustainability practices and driving long-term value creation.
