Our principle

Cut through the green tape

We don't push agendas. At Net Zero Compare, we cut through the hype and fear to deliver the straightforward facts you need for making informed decisions on green products and services. Whether motivated by compliance, customer demands, or a real passion for the environment, you’re welcome here. We provide reliable information—why you seek it is not our concern.

In a major step toward sustainable industry transformation, DBS Bank, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), Ernst & Young LLP (EY), and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) have launched the "Decarbonisation Playbook: A Practical Guide for Manufacturers to a Low-Carbon Future." Supported by Enterprise Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, this is Singapore’s first sector-specific guide to help manufacturers transition toward net zero.

The playbook targets over 5,000 manufacturers and 1,600 learners from NYP’s full-time and continuing education programmes, aiming to empower both current industry players and the future workforce. It introduces the "DECARB" framework, a step-by-step model to identify emission sources, evaluate opportunities, implement solutions, and build long-term decarbonization strategies. Insights from over 70 manufacturers shaped the content, with 80% admitting they are in the early stages of their sustainability journey.

"Meaningful decarbonization starts with real-world support," said Chen Ze Ling, Group Head of Corporate and SME Banking at DBS, in a press statement. "This playbook is built through deep industry engagement."

SMF and EY contributed their sectoral knowledge and technical insights, making the guide accessible and practical. The playbook breaks down complex regulations like Singapore’s carbon tax and sustainability reporting requirements while presenting real-world use cases.

To extend impact, NYP will incorporate the playbook into its curricula, reaching over 1,000 students and 220 adult learners annually. Industry workshops and collaborative projects with ASI member companies will further support implementation.

The playbook will also serve as a central resource in DBS’ ESG Ready Programme and SMF’s CSO-as-a-Service initiative, providing ongoing support for manufacturers seeking to lead in the green economy.
