Overview
The Climate Leadership Innovation Conference 2025 is a three-day event designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the next generation of climate leaders. Hosted at the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training in Rabat, Morocco, this conference is a collaborative effort between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the UNFCCC.
Conference Structure
Each day of the conference focuses on different themes crucial to climate action:
Day 1: Systems and Solutions - Participants will explore foundational systems in climate action and engage in workshops on systems thinking and design thinking, aimed at developing localized solutions with global implications.
Day 2: Technology and Policy - This day emphasizes the intersection of technology and policy, discussing the role of digital tools and frameworks like nationally determined contributions (NDCs) in driving climate governance. A site visit to a youth-led sustainable development project will provide practical insights into real-world applications of these concepts.
Day 3: Visions and Ventures - The final day culminates in a Demo Day, where participants present their innovative projects to a panel of experts and potential investors. This segment is designed to celebrate achievements and foster partnerships, while also focusing on strategic planning using frameworks like the Three Horizons.
The conference not only aims to educate but also to inspire action among youth, reinforcing their role in shaping sustainable futures. For more information, visit the official event page.
