Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE)

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, or MAE, is Vietnam’s national government ministry responsible for environmental protection, agriculture, land, water resources, climate change, waste, and related natural resource policy. It was formed in 2025 through the merger of the former Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Ministry and its Department of Environment oversee implementation of Vietnam’s EPR framework.
