Tara Climate Foundation

Tara Climate Foundation is an Asia-based philanthropic foundation focused on accelerating the region’s clean energy transition. Headquartered in Singapore, it supports civil society organisations, researchers, think tanks, policy experts and local partners working to reduce fossil fuel dependence and expand renewable energy. The foundation was founded in Singapore in 2021 after operating as an initiative under the European Climate Foundation. Its work focuses on practical climate solutions, including clean energy deployment, just energy transition, policy development, finance, and public engagement. Tara Climate Foundation also provides grant funding and strategic support to local organisations, including its role as the initial funder of the Japan Climate Fund’s solar sharing programme.
