Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA)

Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA) is a nonprofit cooperative based in Helsinki, Finland, dedicated to advancing sustainability across the global video games industry. Founded by game entrepreneurs and environmental researchers, it develops the Sustainable Games Standard—a research-backed framework that helps game companies measure, report, benchmark, and reduce their environmental and broader sustainability impacts. Governed by its member organizations, the alliance also provides industry-wide sustainability reporting, benchmarking, research, policy engagement, training, and knowledge sharing. Its membership includes game studios, publishers, trade associations, and research institutions working collaboratively to improve sustainability performance and prepare for evolving regulatory requirements.
