Summary
Westernport Water is a regional water corporation owned by the State Government of Victoria. It supplies drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services across Phillip Island and surrounding mainland communities in Victoria's Western Port region. The corporation serves communities across 27 townships and manages water and wastewater infrastructure within an approximately 300-square-kilometer service area. Westernport Water hosted the two-year floating wetland trial examined by RMIT University and CSIRO, allowing researchers to compare greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater lagoon areas with and without floating wetland infrastructure.
