Nordic Council of Ministers

The Nordic Council of Ministers is the official intergovernmental body for cooperation between the governments of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, with the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland also participating in its work. It coordinates Nordic cooperation across policy areas including climate and environment, energy, business, digitalization, education, culture, health, and regional development. Guided by the Prime Ministers' Vision 2030 to make the Nordic region the world's most sustainable and integrated region, the Council develops joint policies, funds cross-border programmes, and supports practical cooperation through its Secretariat in Copenhagen and a network of Nordic institutions and initiatives.
