Event Overview
The 'Sustainable Farming in LFAs' workshop is designed for those involved in farming or crofting on Less Favoured Areas (LFAs) in Scotland. As agricultural support systems evolve, the Scottish Government is exploring ways to promote sustainable and regenerative farming practices. This interactive online event will take place on February 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Participants will engage with researchers from the James Hutton Institute to discuss the feasibility of implementing sustainable practices on their land. The workshop aims to identify potential barriers and the types of support needed to encourage practices that contribute to carbon emissions reductions, peatland restoration, tree planting, and biodiversity enhancement.
