Event Overview
The 'Sustainability and Soil Health' workshop is designed for farmers and growers interested in enhancing their understanding of soil management and sustainability practices. Scheduled for July 21, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Kinnordy Estate, this event will provide participants with valuable insights into the critical role of soil health in agricultural resilience.
Led by Agroecologist Abi Mordin and Soil Scientist Mary Silk, the workshop will include a guided farm walk, allowing attendees to observe and compare different soil management techniques in practice. The session will begin with a complimentary lunch, followed by discussions on how to adapt farming practices to changing weather patterns, which are increasingly affecting productivity and profitability. Participants will also engage in a microscope session and a Q&A segment, fostering an interactive learning environment.
This event is organized by Propagate in collaboration with Sustainable Kirriemuir and Kinnordy Estate, as part of the Scottish Agroecology Partnership's 'Upscaling Agroecology' program, funded by the Scottish Government Knowledge Transfer Innovation Fund.
