About the Training
This training program is designed to support businesses involved in agricultural supply chains, from inputs to retail, particularly those operating in or sourcing from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye. Participants will learn to apply due diligence to assess and mitigate risks related to human rights and climate change, monitor environmental, social, and governance risks, and understand due diligence expectations in key export markets.
Who Can Participate?
The training is open to businesses and industry associations of all sizes within the agri-food sector, including small enterprises. It is suitable for any stage along the supply chain, from farm to retail.
Training Structure
The program includes an introductory session, three deep-dive sessions on due diligence, and a closing session. Participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible to maximize their learning experience. Sessions will be conducted in English with Arabic interpretation available.
Benefits of Participation
Participants will gain practical knowledge and tools for responsible business conduct, improve their sustainability practices, and receive an OECD certificate to demonstrate their commitment to responsible business. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to connect with peers and share experiences within a network of regional businesses.
