Overview
The NERC Compliance for Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs) course addresses the evolving regulatory landscape for solar, wind, and battery storage facilities. With recent changes to NERC registration thresholds, entities operating IBRs with a capacity of 20 MW or more face new compliance obligations. This event will equip participants with essential knowledge and strategies to navigate these requirements effectively.
Learning Outcomes
Attendees will gain insights into key NERC Reliability Standards, including PRC-024, FAC-001, and TPL-001, and their implications for IBRs. The course will cover the updated NERC registration process, compliance reporting requirements, and best practices for developing effective compliance programs tailored to IBRs. Participants will also learn to identify challenges specific to IBRs, such as stability and frequency response, and how to coordinate with traditional generation resources to enhance grid reliability.
Who Should Attend
This course is particularly beneficial for professionals involved in the generation, operation, and management of inverter-based resources, especially those overseeing facilities with significant outputs. It is an opportunity to ensure compliance and operational excellence in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
