Event Overview
The HIL Ellesmere Port is part of the HIL 100 Breakfast Hub series, now entering its third year. This event aims to unite key stakeholders in hydrogen production, providing insights into the opportunities available in the sector.
Low carbon hydrogen will be produced at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, with an expected output of 3TWh, which is double the UK's current biomethane production. This hydrogen will be supplied to industrial and domestic customers in the region, emphasizing the facility's role in delivering low-cost, efficient hydrogen with a carbon capture rate exceeding 95%. When fully operational, the facility is projected to capture 600,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, equivalent to removing over 250,000 cars from the roads.
The event will feature a panel discussion and networking opportunities, allowing participants to engage with industry leaders and explore the future of hydrogen production. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into the development of a new pipeline network for hydrogen distribution, which will also facilitate the future integration of renewable hydrogen as costs decrease.
