Dubai and Italy are poised to enhance their collaboration in clean energy and sustainability, underscored by a recent meeting between Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and Lorenzo Fanara, the Italian Ambassador to the UAE. The discussion emphasized joint efforts in renewable energy, advanced water sustainability solutions, and green technology innovations.

DEWA showcased major projects, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, a key component of Dubai’s strategy to achieve 100% clean energy by 2050. The solar park, the largest of its kind globally, will play a pivotal role in reducing Dubai's carbon footprint and meeting its renewable energy targets.

Italy, known for its expertise in green technologies, is keen on participating in this transition and will showcase its innovations at the upcoming Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). Ambassador Fanara highlighted Italy’s commitment to supporting Dubai’s vision for a sustainable future by sharing knowledge and technology in clean energy, water treatment, and environmental management.

The meeting also reinforced the significance of ongoing knowledge exchange and partnerships, which will contribute to both nations’ ambitions to address climate change and promote sustainability on a broader scale. By leveraging Italian expertise and Dubai's ambitious clean energy projects, both countries aim to drive a greener future together.
