Global Changer is modular, allowing organizations to use its corporate footprint, product footprint and reduction-planning capabilities individually or together. Automation is particularly prominent where companies have large purchasing datasets or product portfolios.
Corporate Carbon Footprint: Calculates Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions according to the GHG Protocol, including all relevant Scope 3 categories. Organizations can reproduce their corporate structures, including parent companies and subsidiaries, and consolidate data across locations.
AI-Powered Scope 3.1 Calculation: Users can upload purchasing data or connect source systems. AI reads product and supplier information, matches purchases to emission factors and provides a confidence score and reasoning for each assignment.
Product Carbon Footprints: Generates PCFs from inputs including product descriptions, bills of materials and spreadsheets. The software is designed to scale across portfolios of 10,000+ products, identify emissions hotspots and export detailed PCF reports.
Emission Factor Database: More than 60,000 emission factors are integrated from sources including ecoinvent, DEFRA, AGRIBALYSE and EcoTransIT, alongside official sources such as IPCC and Germany's UBA. Companies can also add supplier-specific PCFs and their own emission factors.
Reduction Planning: Organizations can build SBTi-based reduction pathways, evaluate the financial implications of measures and track progress across locations. A database contains more than 270 reduction measures, while users can add their own initiatives.
