BeCause combines data collection, certification management and distribution, with different workflows for hotels, hotel groups, certifiers and travel marketplaces.

• Centralized Sustainability Data: Hotels and groups can consolidate property-level information covering areas such as energy, water, waste and certification status. Data can be organized by property, framework and reporting period, creating a common source for reporting and distribution.

• Framework and ESG Data Collection: Hotel groups and corporate teams can send structured data requests to individual properties, specify reporting periods and monitor completion. • Verified Certification Distribution: Certification information originates from the certifying body rather than being self-uploaded by hotels. Once stored in BeCause, validated certification data can be distributed to connected travel platforms. A hotel can, for example, connect its property to Booking.com, enabling Booking.com to retrieve its certification information.

• RFP Management: The RFP Center helps hotels reuse sustainability information when responding to procurement and corporate-travel requests. It supports frameworks including the HRS Green Stay Initiative and GBTA Procurement Standard for Hotels.

• APIs and Data Sharing: BeCause distributes standardized sustainability and certification information through API connections to travel partners. Its model is effectively collect once, use across multiple channels, reducing repeated manual submissions and helping keep information synchronized between hotels, certifiers and marketplaces.
