The University of Queensland is an Australian public research university with its main campus at St Lucia in Brisbane. Established through Queensland legislation in 1909 and officially founded in 1910, UQ conducts research across engineering, environmental science, energy, agriculture, health and other disciplines. Its School of Civil Engineering contributed expertise to the Pondi greenhouse gas monitoring technology used in the floating wetland research. The system enables long-term measurement of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide emissions from aquatic and terrestrial environments.
