The Poseidon Principles Association

The Poseidon Principles Association is the membership organization responsible for governing and administering the Poseidon Principles, a framework used by financial institutions to assess the climate alignment of ship-finance portfolios. Established following the launch of the Poseidon Principles in 2019, the association manages the framework’s governance, reporting processes, and methodological development. Signatory financial institutions automatically become members of the association and participate in its governance through committees and working groups. A Steering Committee composed of elected signatories coordinates the initiative, while a Secretariat manages day-to-day administration and reporting activities.
