Pattern Energy Group

Pattern Energy Group is a U.S.-based renewable energy company that develops, constructs, owns, and operates utility-scale wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission projects. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company is active mainly in North America and is known for large infrastructure projects such as SunZia, which combines major wind generation with long-distance transmission. Pattern Energy was co-founded in 2009 and is privately held, following the 2020 acquisition of Pattern Energy Group Inc. by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
