HPS Investment Partners is a global alternative investment manager specialising in credit and financing solutions across public and private markets. Founded in 2007 within J.P. Morgan, HPS developed into one of the world's largest alternative credit managers, investing through senior debt, junior capital, asset-based finance, real estate credit, leveraged loans, collateralised loan obligations and high-yield securities. BlackRock completed its acquisition of HPS in July 2025, after which the business became known as HPS, a part of BlackRock. At the time of completion, HPS managed approximately $157 billion in assets. Its financing activities extend across corporations and real assets, including infrastructure and energy-related investments.
