Summary
The Government of Madagascar is the central public authority of the Republic of Madagascar, responsible for national administration, public policy, infrastructure, development planning and international cooperation. In the climate resilience context, it is a key counterpart for programmes addressing floods, cyclones, urban infrastructure, housing, land administration and disaster recovery. In the World Bank-supported PRODUIRE2 project, the Government of Madagascar is relevant as the national authority linked to implementation in Greater Antananarivo and Greater Toamasina, including drainage, resilient housing and rehabilitation of public infrastructure. The official seat of government and the Prime Minister is in Mahazoarivo, Antananarivo.
