Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines is a U.S. airline headquartered in Honolulu and a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group. Founded in 1929 as Inter-Island Airways, it became central to commercial aviation across the Hawaiian Islands and later expanded to mainland U.S. and international routes. The airline remains a key provider of air connectivity for Hawaiʻi, with Honolulu as its main hub. Since Alaska Air Group completed its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in 2024, Hawaiian has operated within the combined group while retaining its brand. Its sustainability work includes operational efficiency, fleet and ground support improvements, and the electrification of airport equipment at Honolulu.
