The Government of Indonesia is the sovereign authority of the Republic of Indonesia, responsible for formulating national policies, regulations, and overseeing public administration across all sectors. It plays a central role in climate action, forest protection, energy transition, and natural resource governance, including oversight of mining, land use, and deforestation. Through its ministries and agencies, the government has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, curbing illegal land use, and achieving net zero emissions by 2060 or earlier, while balancing economic development and social inclusion.
