Envelio GmbH

Envelio is a clean-tech software company that provides grid planning and optimization solutions for electricity distribution networks. The company aims to advance the energy transition globally by facilitating the operations of distribution system operators and grid customers. Envelio is backed by the German energy firm E.ON which acquired a majority stake in 2021. Envelio is a major market player in the Smart Grid software market in Europe and has in 2024 announced it's entry into the United States market. In 2024 Envelio also won the BloombergNEF (BNEF) Pioneers Award in the category “Relieving bottlenecks in the deployment of clean power” which recognizes companies working to advance the the net-zero transition. The company is also a partner in the TwinEU project within which its Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP) will be deployed towards the digital transformation of the European Union's power infrastructure.
