Its principal utility businesses are DTE Electric, which supplies electricity in Southeast Michigan, and DTE Gas, which provides natural gas services across the state. The group also operates businesses providing industrial energy solutions, renewable natural gas, and energy marketing and trading. Its energy transition activities include renewable generation, battery storage, grid modernization and the planned retirement of coal-fired generation by 2032.
