Climate Policy Initiative (CPI)

Climate Policy Initiative is a San Francisco–based nonprofit research and advisory organization founded in 2009 by Professor Thomas C. Heller, a climate policy scholar and former Stanford University professor known for his work on international climate negotiations and low-carbon development policy. CPI focuses on the intersection of climate policy and finance, helping governments, financial institutions, development banks, investors, and businesses design and implement solutions that support economic growth while addressing climate change. Its work spans climate finance, energy transition, land use, adaptation, and sustainable infrastructure, with offices and programs across the world.
