ALTÉRRA

ALTÉRRA is a climate investment platform based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Launched during COP28 in 2023 with a $30 billion commitment from the UAE, it aims to mobilise up to $250 billion in global climate investment by 2030. The platform invests in renewable energy, industrial decarbonisation, sustainable infrastructure and climate-resilient projects, with a strong focus on emerging and developing markets. ALTÉRRA uses both commercial and catalytic capital to reduce investment risks and attract additional private finance into projects supporting the global energy transition.
