Event Overview
This online workshop is designed for representatives from city networks, municipal and metropolitan associations, NGOs, researchers, and energy agencies—essentially all stakeholders involved in supporting local governments in their climate and sustainability transitions. The workshop will provide a platform for sharing resources and insights from the Ready4NetZero project, which has been instrumental in aiding small and medium-sized municipalities in Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Croatia to develop and implement effective climate neutrality strategies.
Agenda Highlights
Participants can expect a comprehensive agenda that includes:
A framing presentation titled "Ways forward for local climate action in the EU in 2025 and beyond" by Joanna Kiernicka-Allavena, a leading figure in the EU Cities Mission.
An in-depth exploration of the Ready4NetZero resources, particularly focusing on the guidance document "Developing Ambitious Local Long-term Climate Neutrality Strategies".
Engaging discussions with representatives from pilot municipalities that are actively advancing their climate neutrality initiatives.
Opportunities for interaction and exchange among participants, speakers, and facilitators, fostering a collaborative environment for sharing best practices and strategies.
This workshop is part of a broader initiative aimed at equipping local governments with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate the complexities of achieving climate neutrality. By participating, attendees will gain valuable insights and practical guidance to enhance their local climate action efforts in alignment with EU goals.
