Course Overview
The Roof-Mount PV System Design & Installation Lab (PV 312) is a comprehensive two-day course designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in solar energy. Participants will engage in hands-on training, focusing on the design, installation, and testing of roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Learning Objectives
During this course, attendees will:
Explore key layout considerations for roof-mounted systems.
Understand component specifications and best practices for mechanical integration.
Apply National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, including calculations for voltage, current, and power.
Gain practical experience in designing, wiring, and commissioning a grid-connected solar system.

Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (both days)
Location: MREA Training Roof, Custer, WI, a recognized Travel Green Destination, providing a real-world learning environment powered entirely by renewable energy.
Prerequisites
Participants are expected to have completed PV 101, PV 201, and PV 202, or possess a NABCEP credential. This ensures that all attendees have a foundational understanding of solar technology before diving into the more advanced topics covered in this lab.
