Event Overview
REvision2025, organized by the Renewable Energy Institute, will take place on March 5, 2025, at Iino Hall in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. This year's theme, "The Great Decarbonization Competition and Renewable Energy," aims to address the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions in the face of global climate challenges.
The conference will kick off with opening remarks from Tomas Kåberger, Chair of the Executive Board of the Renewable Energy Institute, followed by a session led by Gauri Singh, Deputy Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). This session will cover international trends in renewable energy, including the rapid expansion of solar power and the challenges posed by the current geopolitical landscape.
Afternoon Sessions
The afternoon will feature three key sessions:
Renewable Energy is the Key to Regional Revitalization: Moderated by journalist Hiroko Kuniya, this session will explore case studies on geothermal and offshore wind projects, highlighting the role of renewable energy in regional development.
Offshore Wind Power: Conditions for Acceleration: This session will address the integration of global supply chains in Japan's offshore wind sector, featuring insights from industry leaders such as Russell Cato from Siemens Gamesa and Masato Yamada from MHI Vestas Japan.
Driving Industrial Decarbonization: Creating a Green Steel Market: This session will focus on strategies for decarbonizing the steel industry, with contributions from Sameen Khan of the Climate Group and Julia Metz from Agora Industry.
Networking Opportunities
