About ReSBE 2026

ReSBE 2026 aims to redefine the built environment by emphasizing sustainability and circularity. Organized by the Laboratory of Building Construction and Building Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Minho, this conference will gather researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore transformative approaches in design, construction, and operation of buildings.

The theme, "ReShaping the Built Environment through Sustainability and Circularity," highlights the need for systemic change rather than incremental improvements. Participants can expect discussions on innovative solutions that integrate digitalization and circular thinking, fostering a collaborative environment for sharing insights and prototyping new ideas.

Over three days, attendees will engage in open dialogues covering topics from AI applications in construction to the development of regenerative cities. The conference is supported by the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE) and aims to accelerate the transition towards a resource-efficient built environment. Join this global community to contribute to a sustainable future.
