Overview

The EPR Stewardship Programs Foundations + Forum Series | Return-It is designed to educate participants about British Columbia's Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) stewardship organizations. This virtual learning series will provide essential updates and practical guidance for managing EPR programs within communities.

Program Structure

The event will consist of two parts, allowing attendees to participate in one or both sessions based on their interests.

Part 1: Foundations (10:00 AM - 10:45 AM)

This segment is tailored for newcomers to the industry, including elected officials and solid waste management committee members. It will cover the basics of EPR, including:

  • An introduction to EPR and its operational framework in BC
  • Responsibilities of various stakeholders
  • Available resources and how to apply for new collection depots
  • Common misconceptions and fun facts about EPR

Part 2: Forum (10:50 AM - 11:30 AM)

The second part will focus on program updates and innovations, catering to site staff and managers involved in stewardship programs. Key topics will include:

  • Future improvements and innovations in EPR
  • Responses to pre-asked questions
  • Collaborative problem-solving with peers

Participation Details
