About the Conference
The 3rd Annual Conference on Foundation Decarbonization and Reuse aims to address the pressing need for sustainability in the construction industry, particularly in the deep foundation sector. With the construction industry being a significant contributor to CO2 emissions, this conference will explore innovative strategies to mitigate these impacts.
The event will feature four main sessions:
Decision-Making Process: Discussing the frameworks for making informed choices regarding foundation decarbonization and reuse.
Inspection and Testing: Focusing on methodologies for assessing existing foundations to determine their suitability for reuse.
Design Process: Exploring design considerations when incorporating reused or decarbonized foundations.
Construction Phase: Addressing practical aspects of implementing decarbonization and reuse strategies during construction.
Each session will include keynote presentations from industry experts, followed by research paper presentations and interactive Q&A sessions to foster discussion and knowledge sharing.
Additionally, on the final day, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a site visit to local projects in Amsterdam that exemplify foundation reuse practices. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights into sustainable construction methods in action.
Join industry leaders and professionals in Amsterdam to contribute to the dialogue on sustainable practices in foundation engineering and to network with peers dedicated to advancing the field.
