Core Features
The Zerotude platform is built around the idea that renovation planning should be driven by reliable building data rather than lengthy manual assessments. The platform enables users to evaluate entire portfolios quickly and prioritize investments based on financial, environmental, and regulatory considerations. Its main features include:
Digital Building Twins: Creates digital representations of buildings by importing information such as energy performance certificates and energy audits, while enriching missing data using AI algorithms and 3D models.
Portfolio-Level Analysis: Assesses entire property portfolios to identify buildings with the greatest potential for energy savings or the highest exposure to EPBD and MEPS requirements.
Renovation Opportunity Assessment: Evaluates renovation measures and estimates their effects on energy consumption, carbon emissions, operating costs, and investment returns.
Investment Scenario Simulation: Compares alternative renovation strategies through cost-benefit analyses for individual buildings, business units, or complete portfolios.
Energy and Climate Performance Analytics: Provides analyses of energy efficiency, CO₂ intensity, and financial indicators to support investment prioritization.
Closing Insights
Zerotude was founded by Maximilian Deiters and Ricardo Bernardo, whose backgrounds reflect the platform's combination of finance, sustainability, and building science. Deiters worked with global asset managers, property companies, and financial institutions on methods for assessing the financial value of sustainable buildings, while Bernardo leads the Division of Energy and Building Design at Lund University and developed the scientific model underpinning the software. The company's mission is to accelerate building renovations in response to Europe's goal of achieving a carbon-neutral building stock by 2050.
The platform has already been adopted by organizations including Wallenstam, one of Sweden's largest listed property companies, which uses Zerotude to identify renovation priorities across its portfolio. It is also used by Energy Concept in Sweden AB, an energy consultancy that combines on-site inspections with Zerotude's energy modelling to produce decision-support analyses more efficiently. More recently, Lunds Kommuns Fastighets AB (LKF) selected Zerotude to support the updating of energy performance certificates across its housing portfolio.
The company combines the software with onboarding, data-import assistance, and ongoing support from researchers and building-energy specialists. Subscription pricing is provided on request.
