Core Features
Lucent Sky ESG combines carbon accounting with practical tools for collecting evidence and sharing emissions information with customers and other stakeholders.
Scope 1, 2 and 3 Tracking: The platform covers 100% of Scope 1 and Scope 2 and core material Scope 3 categories for SMEs, including supply chain, capital goods, employee commuting, business travel, waste and water.
Australian Emissions Factors: A state-aware calculation engine automatically applies the relevant National Greenhouse Accounts (NGA) emission factors, including different electricity factors for Australian states and territories.
Evidence Vault & Smart Scan: Users can attach source evidence such as receipts and utility bills to emissions records. AI-powered Smart Scan extracts information from uploaded documents to help pre-fill entries while retaining the supporting evidence.
Supplier and Customer Data Sharing: Live B2B connections allow companies to exchange emissions information with suppliers and customers on Lucent Sky, supporting Scope 3 calculations without repeatedly exchanging spreadsheets.
AASB S2 Reporting: Built-in report templates provide AI-assisted drafting, gap analysis and scoring, with PDF reports designed to support preparation for AASB S2 climate-related disclosures.
Verification and Sharing: Businesses can provide customers, partners and tender evaluators with a shareable “Green Passport” URL, giving them access to current environmental information. Consultants can also manage multiple client organizations and produce white-label PDF reports.
Closing Insights
Lucent Sky ESG is a solution that targets the Australian SME market. It was co-founded by Tim Herd and Linda Herd, with backgrounds in systems and network operations, and finance, strategy and sustainability reporting respectively. The platform had its soft launch in 2026, with development shaped around emerging demands on Australian SMEs, including requests for supplier emissions data and preparation for AASB S2. Its B2B data links are particularly relevant to smaller suppliers whose emissions become Scope 3 data for larger corporate customers.
Pricing is deliberately positioned for smaller businesses. The Demo Sandbox is free, while Standard and Pro normally cost A$11 and A$22 per month, respectively, including GST. Both paid plans are currently being offered free until 30 November 2026 as part of the launch period. Pro adds capabilities including AI-assisted reporting and the Agent Co-Pilot, while consultants can manage multiple organizations from one account.
Lucent Sky's narrow Australian focus is worth noting for prospective users: features such as its state-aware NGA calculations and AASB S2 reporting are specifically designed around Australian requirements, rather than attempting to be a general-purpose global ESG platform.
