Core Features
CarbonCloud serves retailers, wholesalers, food and beverage brands, producers and ingredient suppliers across Europe.
One model for the whole assortment: every product gets a science-based footprint from day one, calculated in one integrated biophysical model of the global food system.
Own data foundation: around 20,000 crop and animal products at the farm gate across 192 countries, with every emission factor CarbonCloud's own.
Supplier collaboration: suppliers enter their own activity data into the same model, step by step, tier by tier, upstream to the farm, and invite their own suppliers in turn. Raw supplier data stays private.
Primary Data Share: shows how much of each footprint rests on suppliers' own activity data.
Data Quality Index (launching): grades how good that data is.
Change Log: separates a real reduction from better data and from a method update, so history stays comparable when the rules change.
Standards: built to the GHG Protocol, including the Land Sector and Removals Standard, to ISO 14067 and to SBTi FLAG. Carbon Trust model assurance is in progress.
Closing Insights
CarbonCloud works with Bidfood UK and Oatly. At Bidfood UK, scope 3 is about 97 percent of the footprint, and more than half of the first wave of suppliers connected within two weeks, with their own suppliers following. Dole Nordic states in its 2025 sustainability report that product footprint models have been completed across its portfolio with CarbonCloud, more than 10,000 models, and that scope 3 is about 99.7 percent of its footprint.
