cadisCARBON core features
cadisCARBON applies a transport-focused approach to carbon reporting by connecting emissions calculations with data generated during logistics operations. Its native connection to the CADIS platform allows vehicle, trip and shipment information to feed calculations and reporting. Its features include:
Transport emissions calculation: Uses operational logistics data such as distances driven, vehicle types, fuel consumption, routes, load factors and shipment information to calculate transport emissions rather than relying solely on theoretical averages.
Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting: Separates Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 transport emissions and incorporates these figures into a reporting structure intended to support ESRS E1 disclosures.
ISO 14083 and GLEC alignment: Uses EcoTransIT World's calculation engine, with CADIS stating that calculations are aligned with ISO 14083, the GLEC Framework and ESRS E1. The methodology can be applied across transport modes and routes.
Granular emissions analysis: Breaks emissions information down by year, month and day, as well as individual trips, routes, shipments and packages. For logistics providers, this can extend to fleet, customer and route-level reporting.
Emissions dashboard: Provides emissions KPIs and trend information using live CADIS operational data, allowing users to examine emissions from overall fleet activity down to individual shipment and package level and track changes over time.
cadisCARBON insights
cadisCARBON forms part of CADIS’s broader logistics software portfolio, which the company has developed over more than 20 years for transport companies and logistics service providers. Its software serves freight forwarders, express and parcel operators, commerce and industrial logistics, and pharmaceutical logistics. As a module within the CADIS platform, cadisCARBON draws directly on existing trip, vehicle, route and shipment data for emissions calculations, avoiding the need to duplicate information in a separate carbon accounting system. CADIS states that existing customers can activate the module without additional IT development or manual data preparation, while its native integrations extend to the CADIS TMS, vehicle and trip management modules, cadisCONNECT APIs and existing reporting tools.
