Waymo

Waymo is a US autonomous driving technology company and a subsidiary of Alphabet. Its origins date to Google’s self-driving car project in 2009, and it became a separate Alphabet business in 2016. The company develops the Waymo Driver, an integrated autonomous driving system, and operates electric robotaxi services. Its planned Toronto expansion begins with mapping and testing, with the first passenger rides targeted for 2028.
