TOMRA Systems ASA is a Norwegian technology company that develops collection, sorting and processing systems for the circular economy. Its operations include reverse vending machines for beverage containers, sensor-based waste and metal sorting equipment, and grading and sorting technology for the food industry. TOMRA also invests in reusable packaging systems and facilities that prepare mixed plastic waste for recycling. Founded in 1972 following the development of an automated reverse vending machine, the company now operates across more than 100 markets.
