The Or Foundation

The Or Foundation is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Accra, Ghana, working at the intersection of environmental justice, education, and fashion. Founded in 2011, it combines research, community programs, and direct action to address the impacts of textile overproduction and waste. Its work includes support for Kantamanto Market communities, environmental cleanup, and advocacy for globally accountable extended producer responsibility. It co-founded the Apparel Recovery Coalition and will implement activities within the coalition’s initial Ghana demonstration project.
