Smurfit Westrock is a global paper and packaging company formed through the combination of Smurfit Kappa and WestRock in July 2024. The company produces paper-based packaging, corrugated packaging, consumer packaging, recycling, and forestry-related solutions for customers across sectors, including food and beverage, e-commerce, retail, and industrial goods. Its sustainability positioning is built around renewable, recyclable, and recycled materials, circular economy principles, certified fibre sourcing, and operational decarbonization. Smurfit Westrock operates across more than 500 facilities and 57 mills in around 40 countries, with more than 97,000 employees. Its 2030 sustainability targets include reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions, lowering water intake at mills, cutting landfill waste, and increasing social and environmental investment.
