Summary
The Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation, or SECIHTI, is Mexico’s federal ministry for science, humanities, technology and innovation. It came into existence as a new ministry after the transformation of the previous national science and technology council structure. SECIHTI formulates and conducts national policy for the sector and contributes to strengthening higher education in coordination with SEP. In the National Circular Economy System, SECIHTI is relevant because circular economy implementation depends on research, technological development, innovation, data systems, materials science, industrial processes, and collaboration between government, academia, and productive sectors.
