Scientific Climate Ratings

Launched in 2025, Scientific Climate Ratings (SCR) is an independent climate ratings venture created from the EDHEC Climate Institute's applied climate finance research ecosystem. The organization develops forward-looking climate risk ratings that quantify the financial materiality of both physical and transition climate risks for infrastructure assets, with expansion into listed equities underway. Its primary users include institutional investors, infrastructure owners and operators, listed companies, public institutions, and other organizations seeking science-based assessments of climate-related financial risk. SCR combines high-resolution geospatial data, proprietary climate models, and financial valuation techniques to help users incorporate climate risk into investment, financing, and resilience decisions.
