Red Bull GmbH is an Austrian beverage company founded in 1984 by Dietrich Mateschitz. Its flagship Red Bull Energy Drink was launched in Austria in April 1987 and helped establish the modern energy drink category. The company has since developed a global presence spanning more than 175 countries, with a portfolio that includes its original energy drink, sugar-free variants and flavoured editions. Red Bull is also known for extensive involvement in sports, motorsport, events and media. Its global headquarters are located in Fuschl am See, Austria.
