Primark is an international fashion retailer founded in Ireland in 1969. The company sells clothing, footwear, accessories, beauty products, and household goods, with a business model focused primarily on physical retail stores and affordable products. Primark operates more than 500 stores across 20 countries in Europe, the United States and the Middle East and employs more than 80,000 people. Its sustainability activities include efforts to increase the use of recycled and more sustainably sourced materials, improve product durability and reduce emissions across its value chain. Primark operates under the Penneys name in Ireland and is part of Associated British Foods.
