Founded in 2019 by Professor Dapeng Yu and Dr. Avi Baruch as a spin-out from Loughborough University, Previsico develops flood forecasting software for insurers, utilities, infrastructure operators, and other entities. Building on two decades of academic research into hydrodynamic flood modelling, the company provides property-level forecasts and alerts that help organizations prepare for and mitigate surface water and river flooding.
