Northern Roots

Northern Roots is a charity based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, focused on transforming 160 acres of post-industrial green space into an urban farm, eco-park, community hub and visitor destination. Working in partnership with Oldham Council, the organization combines regenerative agriculture, nature restoration, skills development, health programs and community engagement. Its model is designed to demonstrate how underused urban land can support environmental resilience, local food production, employment and public wellbeing.
